I'm going to be up in that area fishing June 5,6,7,8 and we plan on hitting Woman or some lake in the Woman area for smallies, wallies and pike on the 6th and then I'm hitting either Little Boy, Wabedo, or Iguadeno on Saturday for the muskie opener. Really looking forward to the trip, so if anyone has any other suggestions on where to start I'm not looking for specifics just starting points. But if someone offers up specifics I'll take them as I have never fished Woman and the other 3 I mentioned before. I'm also bringing up a couple guys who have never caught a muskie in their life and would like to hook them up with one so any help would be great.

Hey whitie....As I was saying to 12345...will be up there the 24th thru the 30 of this month on Woman Chain and he has given me some great info along with some donot info at WLL...I'll let you know how we did...in the meantime seems 12345 has some great insight on this chain.

12345....you never mentioned anything about Girl Lake...any feeling on that???

I would start for muskies in the Hayfields on Wabedo and throw bucktails and suicks in that area. If that doesn't pan out, fish around the channel from Wabedo to LB, then go over to LB and fish the bays and and the shallow areas on the north side of the lake, around the reeds. For walleyes, fish around the shallow humps in the middle of LB with crawlers or leeches. Although Woman would be my first spot for walleyes, LB, can produce more numbers but the last few years they have been on the smaller side.

On wabedo they call the musky the tourist fish it is located in the no wake zone on the lake. If you go up there try a black bucktail on the hayfield side if you get out of the no wake zone you have gone to far. we see him there every year and have caught him a couple of times other then that the hayfields are good but we have seen more on "LB" (little boy for beg52) size seems to be better also

12345 are you going to be up there june 7-14? From the other comments on this forum it will be hard for EyE's but smallie's should be fun. Any idea on musky for women lake of is it just a lucky cast to get one.

I will be on Woman the middle of June. I need to catch some crappies. My 74 year old mom wants to catch some fish to eat. Is Child the place to go? Probably need to be able to slip bobber them. Any walleye slip bobber options going to be in play at that time for walleyes?

Child is usually a good bet for crappies in June. There are a lot of different spots to try in Child that time of year. A few places to try: In the small eastern bay leading into the main lake; Anywhere around the island in the middle of the lake (it drops off quickly on the southeast and southwest sides); near the culvert where the water flows in from Pick Lake; and anywhere along the reeds on the west side of the lake. Anywhere that looks "fishy" to you will likely hold crappies. We have our best luck with beetle spins tipped with crappie minnows or small tube jigs, but bobbers work well at times too.
I don't fish Girl lake very often, but it does have much of the same structure that Child has and is much closer to Frosty's Ice Cream parlor in Longville which is a great place to take a mid-day fishing break!
Good luck.

But for the muskies i don't fish them so i couldn't tell you but f you asked the locals they might tell ya. The only place i know of is off of Spains point there is a shallow bar which ive heard they catch them there.
