Hey genofish,
I have hit Lower Spunk a couple days ago and then spent all morning today out on Pelican. Water temp on Lower was 55 degrees a couple of days ago and I managed a few average Lower Spunk sized northerns and about a dozen largemouth (all catch and release). The largemouth bite was actually pretty good. The wind was pretty stiff so I did not stay as long as I normally would have.
This morning I got on Pelican at about 5:30am and it was nice out there today, no wind for once. Again I managed a few norhterns and a couple of LM. All the fish I got were in the NW part of the lake. Lots of suspended fish on the finder, most in 20 FOW and holding between 10-14 feet. Most of the fish were scattered and not too many in one area. Pelican was a bit colder than Lower though at only 49 degrees this morning. I've been trying to pull some eyes out of Pelican since last fall and have been unsucessful.....guess I'll keep trying until I get it right!
Good Luck!

I was on Upper on Sunday afternoon and I noticed that the rain had dropped the water temp a few degrees from when I saw you out there last. We could only find a few small crappies in the bay which weren't big enough to keep. I didn't try for anything else. I'm hoping to get out to Upper this weekend sometime and try for walleyes. Maybe I'll see you out there.

Genofish - Did you make it out to Upper? If so how did you do? I'm thinking of trying it this evening.

I found some panfish and a nice sized bass in the weeds right when I got there but I didn't have much luck with the walleyes, which is what I was after. I did see one on the underwater camera so I worked the area pretty good, but I couldn't get any eyes to bite. The water temp was 57 - 60 with 58 being the most common. I hope you had better luck!
