My mom would like to get some polarized sunglasses for my dad for his birthday. She'd like to spend $50-$100. Any suggestions?

I wish I could help you, but I stay with the cheapies due to the fact that I either loose them or break em.

I don't even know what is sold in that price range? :-) The $12 - $15 igogs or fisheyes at gander I think work great.

The only thing I could recommend is to see if Costa Del Mar makes something in that price range. May be a bit high end...but they could make something $75 - $100...

I agree with the cheaper ones. I don't know how many times I've lost or broken expensive sunglasses. I bought a cheap gas station pair and haven't been able to get rid of them for 4 years now!

I agree with the Costa Del Mars. I've used them and they are nice.

You might want to check out Bolle sunglasses as they have some models with nice polarized lenses. You'll find them online in your price range, and I've had good luck with them.

I've got Costa del Mars and they are great. I don't think she's looking to spend quite that much.

One thing I have noticed since I've stepped up to good glasses, I am much more careful with them.

I'm a cheap guy too.

I have a brand new pair of Titanium Maui Jims sitting here that I've never worn due to the fact that I know I'll trash them.

I was a cheap sunglasses user because I was always concerned with breaking them, but now that I have a pair of Costas I'm in the same boat as RW. I'm very careful with them.

I second this. I found a nice pair of Bolle polarized for just under $100.

I have H20 Optics glasses- they have been great and I think were around $50. Good quality lenses and construction and they handle a beating. Try a search for them and they should come up. Good luck.

Check sierra trading post online. Many of the brands mentioned already are available at significant savings. You can find a real good pair in the price range you're looking for.

Just ordered a couple of Destination Brand Glasses from Cabela's online......Reg $49.99 on sale for $19.88..they have others on sale also Including high end Costa's, check em out. I also tend to loose/break sunglasses on a regular basis so 20 bucks is my max.

Natives were about the only brand I could find that would fit my big head without digging into the sides. AND - they have interchangeable lenses....which is nice.

I ordered a set from REI for $50. Not sure if they have them anymore....they retail most places for about 120 bones or more depending on model.
