the boat was probably on the site of the City of Lakes Loppet or whatever the heck the mental giant that runs that city calls it and they didnt like the unsightliness of it. mayor ideas for the city.... lets spend all of our money on a library that we cant afford to staff and have to give to the county, spend money on some kind of stupid cross country ski race through the city, worry about calling streets the avenue of the arts, avenue of the sciences, and the best yet, the avenue of the fountains and put up a whole bunch of fountains that require electricity to run pumps for no reason, and finally actually spend council time and energy talking about changing the nickname of the city from the city of lakes to something that i cant quite remember, but it is hokey. glad to see they have time to dedicate to that and not so much to that super 50% graduation rate and high crime in Phillips and North Mpls.
I have a friend that likes to rail about republicans and how they mess things up. Take a look at Mpls. When was the last time they had a righty mayor or council member? Proof that being and idiot is not limited to a an elephant.
