I noticed the coloration on your suckers in the photos are different then in mine(the ones you have have white below the mouth and a darker"stripe" down the sides....just wondering what species I've actually have here.....
jonny, you've got some white suckers. nice catches! Deadhead,
The whites you catch are really dark! yeah, the fish are darker due to their spawning coloration, plus the water is slightly stained from the tannins coming out of the tamarac bogs upstream. Makes for some cool coloration. I know Tyler commented on the coloration of those suckers coming from that stretch of river last year.

Keep'em roll'in dude. I've got to stay on the fish while they're still in the streams to spawn. Not too much longer and they'll be gone around here.
