No matter what the orioles would only sit on one side of the feeder. We had counted 11 of orioles in the trees by our house. Its nice to see'em.

Me too. Like Magnum said, plug the holes! smile I've had it happen..not just the hummingbird feeders..same thing on the sunflower feeders..etc. I keep the hole open where I want them to be, so I have a good line of sight, good spot for shots.

Just have patience. Eventually a blackbird or something will fly in and scare him to a nearby tree, where you can get a better photo anyway.
