Man, fishing opener just burns my arse some days. Two hard days of fishing and nothing to show for it but a busted boat trailer. Some lazy dude forgot to check out the trailer bearings and ended up paying for it the end. Noticed at the landing (after my trailer had allready slipped off the concrete pad and got stuck under the dock) that my wheel bearing was all messed up. Compltly gone is a better word for it. Thankfully a local was leaving the lake as I sat stranded and he allowed me to pull my boat into his yard less than a mile away, and told me it can stay there as long as I needed to get it fixed. Saved me a tow truck fee anyway but now I have to run down figure out what parts are bad, get the parts and then go back down and fix it. @#$!@#$!@#%^!#$%@#$@#$!@#!%@^$%&#^&@#$%!@#%$~%$ with a capital F.

PS did I mention, other than a few small eyes at midnight and one dog fish on lake Sallie I was skunked all weekend. I did however manage to grab this picture while on the lake today.

and this one.

Nice pics, Paul!

Very cool.

So you never had to call Phil?

That saved you a little bit.

Tough opener, buddy, hang in there.

I called Phil, and his wife said he was tied up till 10pm. Races at Buffalo river maybe?? Any way this guy was pulling out and he lived next to the lake and gave me a spot.

sorry to hear about your crummy weekend Paul. Good thing a local was there to help a guy out.

I'm sure you'll be killing it out there next time...

So anyone know were I can find an entire axle assembly cheap? My boat trailer is/was highly modifed for a wheel chair accessiblilty. The trailer was made using a car spindle on each side instead of an axle that ran from side to side. I am thinking it would probably be in my best interst to just put an axle underneath it instead of replacing bolted on spindles.
