Which lake has produced the better pike fishing since opener? I'm not a walleye fan, and since bass season isn't open yet, which of these 2 lakes has the better pike/crappie fishing? Hopefully will be up there on wednesday.

Boy, tough to say. I would say it's a draw between the two. I don't think a guy could go wrong with any of the Chisago area lakes when it comes to pike.

I'm also interested in this post. Which area lake would be the best for numbers of pike? I don't care about size.

I'd fish Forest for numbers and Green for better size structure, although, North center can hold some nicer fish as well. Like John said, it is a tossup.

I have always had a good time getting into pike on Chisago and Green. If you are on Chisago, a good place to try is the reeds, always a few pike lurking there. The launch channel is also a good spot a lot of times. Green is more of a lake to fish the outside weed line with spoons and stickbaits, for me anyway. I have got into good sized fish on both as well. Never really targeted pike on N or S Center.

Like others have said, its a toss up. If you plan on keeping a fish I would eliminate Center as it has a slot on pike. Green does have the larger fish, and Forest or Big Marine has the numbers.

I grew up on little green lake and would take the row boat and fish the shoreline that highway 8 is on. I caught a lot of nice pike on that shoreline throwing spoons and spinnerbaits. haven't tried it for a while though. Big green back in the south end is a good place to throw spoons before it gets too weedy. I have heard of the biggest pike coming out of North Center, but have speared some nice fish on chisago.
