On my way to visit my mom, figured I would take about a five mile detour. I am glad I did. Saw this bald eagle right away.

Then this red winged blackbird

A Honker

A Blue winged Teal

After lunch my dad and I went to wet a line. The fish weren't biting but we did see some Myrtle Warblers.

On my way home I wanted to check out the bald eagle again. Before I got to it I came across a very cooperative pheasant.

Then the eagle again.

Good stuff Buddy. That pheasant is sweet and what a great find on the eagle nest.

It was about 25 feet away. I managed to snap a couple dozen photos till it ran into an evergreen tree next to the road. Usually the darn things take off running. This one must have known I only had a camera.
