Suprised no one has put up there reports on here. My dad and I did fairly well yesterday with 4 smallies and 3 eyes. All were very decent size.

Would go out today, but I dont feel like freezing my butt of again unless the weather changes.

Good luck to you all.

Had a great time with the kids. They caught a pile of northerns that we are bringing over to ma's house to make her a mothers day dinner with. Could have been warmer, but overall was fun. BC

Only made it out for a little bit...didn't really try to fight the crowds and fish hard, so I ended up talking and exploring more than fishing. Didn't catch any numbers or anything too impressive but i did hook into, and land a 38in. muskie--what a fight!! I've never caught a muskie before and it was a cool expirience...

Walleyes hitting all over on Vermilion got 15 with 8 of them being over 17 inches and the biggest at 26. Our smallest was about 15 inches.

Yes, please bring on the reports!

I've been buried under a self-imposed to do list and have only dared to think about fishing yet. It would be nice to hear some good news from y'all.

Maybe next weekend for me?

My Dad and I caught some bigger walleyes on Saturday (26" was the biggest) and some eaters on Sunday. They seemed to be very concentrated in smaller areas close to the current. The smaller fish on Sunday were males that were obviously involved in the spawn.

We also caught a few pike and a couple smallmouth.

It was cold, but it was great to be out catching a some fish.

Went out Sat AM on Island with my Dad and two of my boys. As best we can recall, we caught 1 northern, 4 perch, 2 bass, and 34 walleyes. Kept 24 walleyes for a big feed that night. The ones we kept were all between 13.25 and 18.5.
My 7 and 9 year olds were excellent. They got up at 3:15, and had a great time.

My dad, brother, and I fished White Iron for walleyes on Saturday and got our limit of 18 (12 - 15 inchers) and released 2 (17.5' and 22") by noon. My brother and I fished Farm for northerns in the afternoon and caught about 10 of them in a couple of hours, nothing big though, the largest was 32 inches.

Sunday headed up to Basswood and froze! We only got 6 on the day, though I can't say we fished too hard. We were back to the cabin by 4pm so my brother and I fished White Iron in the evening and got 7 keepers (12 - 15.5"). We did see 3 large walleyes caught (27", 27.5", and 30") within about an hour Sunday night, unfortunatley they weren't caught out of our boat. Sad to say, it appeared all of those fish were put in livewells.

Fished White Iron again this morning for a couple of hours before I had to head home and didn't get a bite.

fishkid and i fished white iron this afternoon in wind, rain and even a little bit of snow. Despite all that we had pretty good fishing. caught about 25 or so and ended up keeping our limit of walleyes 13.5" to 16". didnt catch one fish over 16 inches.

I was out today for about 2 hours maybe a lil longer and caught 2 smallies and missed 2. The rain kinda sucked but it didnt bother me much. The bite wasnt to bad. They were kinda agressive.

Moose Chain, targeting eyes.

Majority of eyes came from 10-12' of water. Not that we didn't look shallower and deeper. The warm shallow water pattern never really had a chance to develop on account of the cold although it did a little and for very short time periods. Jigs tipped with minnows, slip bobbers, and slip sinker w/floaters took fish and in that order. Saturday evening's cold rain was a prelude to waking up to Sunday morning snow. Was tough to get in back in the boat after that but Sunday evening made up for it. Winds calmed and the sun made short appearances. As a group, one 32", 27, 25, 25, 24, and a lot of 22"-20"s. Those were all released and we were able to keep plenty or 16-18"ers for the pan. To add on that, a half a dozen incidental SMB, couple dozen pike,(biggest 42") one perch and a LMB.

we went to esquagama and whiteface, did good in the morning caught a 24 inch walleye. Jake got a 26incher.

Went and camped on an island Saturday night boy what a mistake! It was so cold but sunday we did good no huge walleyes to speak of but I caught a 4 lb northern, and then a 33 inch northern.(had to have Jake hold the 33 incher up my hands were killing me from the cold all weekend long).

Thanks it was a blast! The strange thing bout the first northern was that we were at the campsite and I heard jake's rod slide down the edge of the boat. So I ran all the across the campsite dukes of hazzarded it over the boat and reeled in that 4 lber. Then Jake put it on the stringer I got that pic and he went to put it in the water and the northern broke the walleyes jaw off and they both swam away!
