A friend at work got skunked. He didn't say where, but his place is on the Bridge Road.

Holy Northerns! Fished bsl and caught northern after northern this weekend. No real size (22"-26"). Caught 3 small wallies 10,12 and 13 (all went back). Fishing was cold but fun. Seen acouple of 18" wallies taken. Memorial weekend I figure the fishing will pick up. Not much boat traffic, I expected more. The pier 65 bridge was packed but other than that I think people were looking for wind breaks more than good fishing spots.

We caught some fish, nothing spectacular. They weren't as shallow as we thought they were going to be. Most of our fish were caught in 12-20' FOW. Did catch 1-23 1/2" walleye.

Any other fishing reports from BSL? I am heading up this weekend. Looks like nicer weather. I caught a couple last weekend and they still had not spawned. Thanks.

Hello All!

Hoping I can get some help. I am going up to fish BSL for the first time ever. My wifes uncle has a cabin on the lake, but doesn't fish and doesn't have any info to assist me. I am going to be up there with my dad for a few days over the memorial day weekend and was looking to hopefully catch something don't really care what just fish. Not looking for any "hot spots" just more so depths, temps, and colors to key in on. Thank you for any assistance. I will be happy to give a full report as well as hopefully some pics of our catch over the weekend.

Keep the lines tight!

my buddy did well last weekend in the Flowage, dragging leeches and small jigs.

I'll let someone else chime in about places after Memorial Day - my experience is in getting skunked - I just dont fish it enough

I'd troll or drift slow with lindy rigs. A red blade is hot and work those areas where there is current or adjacent as the spawn is just getting over.Leeches or minnows work.
Use your lake map to find an area then go to your electronics if you have them.Locate fish 1st .
Sometimes a simple carolina rig with a leech tossed off of the dock works well. Just sit there and wait for that tell tale tap tap tap .
I've seen more walleyes come from the docks then anywhere sometimes.

Fishing was great this weekend. Fish were in 4-6ft of water.
