Thanks for the update wareagle. From what I was told the numbers were over that but thats just what I was told. The numbers probably got mixed in with the bullhead numbers. Originally I was told that was the total number per day est. they took out 2 or 3 days in a row. Hopefully they will keep coming back for the bullheads.

anybody catching any gills or crappies out here recently, i missed the early season crappie bite, i was out a few times way to early after ice out and i haven't been out since, any reports? if i could get out and still catch some gills or crappies i would love to but if they have moved out all ready they seem hard to find

They are still catching smaller males in close to shore but i think alot of the females moved out. It seems the last 3 times out have been smaller and fewer fish each time. But i did hear about a couple 15's coming out just a couple days ago. I am heading out in the next few days i will post how i do.

well i've got the day off of work and me and my fiance just went on a break for a while so i need to get out fishing and try to get my mind of of all of this so i figure i'll take the canoe out to pelican today and try a little deeper and see if i can pick up any crappies. i'll post and let you know what i found.

p.s. on a side note- don't take anything for granted and always be appreciative, i hadn't been doing this latley with my fiance and i may have lost her forever. don't let good things slip away. wish me luck

Been there, done that, twice!

Sometimes it's for the better. It sucks at the time but trust me, there is only one way to go from there. If there is any doubt in your mind, don't do it. The right one is out there, somewhere...

Ok, now for the important stuff. How was the fishing?

thanks, stoped by pelican and i was amazed at all the trucks i saw at the access, i couldn't get anywere nere the lake and in order to unload the canoe i need to get close to the water when i'm by myself cause the thing is really heavy and then i have lots of gear to put in it so i drove around the lake and couldn't find any good place to access it, then drove past pulaski but there were a few boats in line there so guess were i am, back at home, o-well maybe i will go out tomarrow sometime

Sorry to hear about your personal issues bearbait. Its not easy when things go south.

One word of advice. Change your signature. Sounds like fishing isnt much more important than a life or death matter.
Sometimes we might like to say things like that, but its not really what we believe in.

Well the bays are not too cold any more, i snagged my $6 rapala on something not too far away from shore so i decided to swim and get it. My friends and other people around me thought i was crazy because of the water temp but it wasn't that bad and i saved 6 dollars. ohh ya we caught 3 northerns.
