So how'd everyone do this weekend??

My uncle and I went over to Little Pine and caught four nice ones that had to be released...started about 1 a.m. and finished before sunrise. It was pretty slow for us, but still fun to get out again...despite the cold.

Now I'm looking out the window at the wind and rain and pondering our next move.

Anyone else??

Ooops! Now I see broodwhich's post is also talking about the weekend's results and I can't delete mine--sorry 'bout that!!

Z-Man --

Good to hear your action.

I chickened out and hit Sliver -- one bite one lost minnow.

Going to bigger and better on Sunday.

I ended up with 10 crappies on friday. Saturday am i shot some suckers. Latter in the day i pitched a jig in some of the rivers in DL area and caught 8 walleyes with two that were released and i kept 6 in that 16-20 inch range. Most were 18-19 inches. The two i released were over 20 inches. So for me it was not a bad day on saturday.

Really Good. My partner and I caught 25 walleyes. Kept 12 good eaters ranging from 14-21. Best opener in years for us....Shallow, slow, short snell, shiners....

Sounds like a good day paceman. I wussed out and just tinkered around with my boat on Saturday. We went out last night with no luck on the eyes, We caught some hammer handles and C&R'd some really nice bass. I didn't make it out to my lake of choice but this lake was comparable in size and depth and I had water temps from 45 degrees to 49 degrees. It was a good first trip of the year. I am going camping on the lake I wanted to hit this weekend and it's usually a good bite. I'll have to make it out during the week and try some other area lakes.

Hit Pelican on Sunday and it was awesome -- the weather was at least.

The eyes were not hungry. We caught one 18.5 inchers between two boats and five guys. Caught some snakes and one gator.

Weekend was slightly below average, had 6 between 3 of us Saturday morning.

Went out Saturday evening to find everyone had enough of the rain. Fishing was great for about 1.5 hours we boated 17 fish and kept 14 for 5 of us. Fatheads on bobber in 5-6ft of water.

I was on Little Pine as well. Hit the water at about 4:30. Only managed two keepers and a few bigger fish. We threw everything at them as far as live bait, but still nothing would bite. Switched to crankbaits and the action was a lot better. Was back yesterday, tried live bait again but still no luck, switched back to crankbaits and caught a 17" and 15". It was a lot slower than Saturday.

Hey hit...if you want to get out and hunt for some 'eyes this week let me know. I'm on vacation and plan on hitting it hard starting right now. smirk I'm heading out soon somewhere...and will likely be on Big C or LP after dark.

First I have to lower my transducer a bit though, like you. I'm still losing bottom contact, but so far, mine only occurs when I'm moving fast. At least this last one Lowrance sent me appears to work a little better in shallow water.

I haven't been able to go with the boys to scouts in awhile so haven't heard much about the campout. Is it this Fri night??

My boat landed 11 walleyes after putting in a full day between Saturday and Sunday. I pulled one in at 29.25" that was released, and it took me about 10 minutes to get it in. Caught about 50 crappies on Friday. Went out last night off shore and got 2, the night before last I got 7 off shore at night. It's going to be really good for the next few weeks as the shiners haven't even run yet.

Take care
