Just got back from Mary. Fishing was ok.Fished in 8 to 13 FOW. Saturday was cold and rainy. Lindy rigs worked the best. Boy was it fun to get out again!

Fished Mary on Saturday. 3 guys filled out by 12:30, we had started at daylight. We fished jig and minnow and 6-8 feet of water was best for us. We had on flurry right on the edge of the bull rushes. The hard rain really cleared out the boats.

Fishing was OK, 4 guys in 2 boats we brought home 13 walleyes between 14.5 and 16.5 and CPR'ed a 23.5 incher on Saturday morning. We mainly fished the east side, 8-10 feet. Jig and minnow, lindy w/a leech worked about the same. The weather definitely limited the time we spent on the lake.

big bobber..i would say right now its up about a foot maybe so not up to where it should be.. but will go down throughout the summer if there isnt a consistent rain up here because the water runs out of lake and there's nothing running in to take its place...

Until the outflow from Skoglund's going into Mill gets plugged again or a V board put in, the lake level will never be what it was. Thanks for the replies. Thinking of heading up the 1st week of June.

big bobber it is kinda plugged so water doesnt run out as fast...it all started like 4 years ago when the older couple that lives next skoglund's decided to contact dnr and ask if they could clean off the grates and once that was done the water flowed..let me know when u might be up where do you stay at? i have a place in bigfoot resort

Me and the guy in my boat fished minnows most of the time but there's 1 guy that fished in the other boat that used only leeches. He caught fish so I guess they worked OK! Sunday morning was real slow for us so I tried a leech for something different and it seemed to swim OK. I think the lake water was probably warmer than the leech container water that spent the night in the 30-something degree weather Saturday night.

We were further north than the house, the southern point of our fishing was the couple of small trailers on the east side.

Hey Tom,

I'm not on Mary, I live in St cloud but like to fish Mary early in the season. How are the water temps?
