How bout that opener? I guess the weather wasn't as bad as it could have been. I saw pictures of snow coming down around Breezy Point - I bet the Gov wan't out too terribly long.

I fishing wise - the bite could have been better. It was a pretty slow go. I don't know if the cold front or post spawn was the blame to the slow fishing. Hopefully the weather finally gets back to normal and fishing improves shortly.

I had a slow bite as well! I had a really hard time even finding fish on the finder.I tried 4ft. to32ft.I had some motor problem's,so I was a little capped andy, the n. end of the lake was at 1 time I counted 16 boats but no net's.The pike seemed to be hanging out in full force on the weedline,14 to 19'.With the wind and the direction it's been blowing all week, I'm not so sure,It's pounding the southwest, west shoreline, everybody is fishing the n. end! Is that were they are or is the warmer water where they are. I hardly ever fish the S. end of this lake maybe that's why it was slow. What is everybody using for bait since shiners are 10 dollars a doz.,I fig. if the shiner's are that hard to come bye the fish are still eating, maybe crawlers on this lake cause I was at my buddys house and the ground was litteraly covered with worm's,he lives not even a block off the lake!Good luck EyE hunter's!

That lake in my opinion is just to clear for day fishing, more of a night bite! The island always seems to produce some action though.

15"???? I grew up on the lake, fished it for 20 years and have yet to see a 15" crappie. I guess it all depends how you hold the tape.

I live on the lake and 13" is the biggest i've ever seen come out of it. but if they are 15" a couple pictures would be nice because those are some slabs!
