I have seen a few Indigo Buntings at the feeders for about a week. They have been very skittish and it has been difficult getting a decent shot. Here is my first Indigo Bunting photo. Canon 30D, Canon 100-400L, 1/500 sec at f/5.6, ISO 250, fill flash with 580EX high speed sync.

Good for you. My neighbor, whose backyard I've been using quite a bit of lately, emailed me this morning that she got her very first indigo bunting ever, at her feeders. We had company for the weekend so she said she would let me know if it sticks around. I certainly hope so. I've never seen one before. I'd love to get a capture as good as the one you got.

Awesome shot. My wife has never seen one, she just missed one that I spied while biking last week. Hopefully she gets a chance with her camera.
