Cold when it goes over the waders when putting the dock in. Actually, my brother was out fishing and I asked him and he said 40-41.
The water is higher than I ever remember seeing it (8 year history).

temperatures around the islands were upwards of 44 degrees this past weekend.
the water is high like stick mentioned, but it dropped like 6 inches overnight thursday night to friday.
I spent my opener out in the middle of the lake from 7:00 pm friday night until 4:30 am saturday.
not to many boats but there were a few.
it was a beautiful night and the loons were happy too.
