Well for us the Walleye wouldn't cooperate, but the crappie were hungry. It was sure fun to have them play the game w/ us even though the 'eyes didn't really want too. We caught all of ours in the tall reeds. seems they couldn't resist a crappie minnow and a hook in their face. I hope you guys were able to find a couple too

Sounded like a pretty common occurrence for many this year. I remember one year making a stop at a nice crappie lake on the way home and turning around an otherwise disappointing day.

I usually always bring an ultralight rod with incase the crappies start biting. really does turn around a slow day.

we found a bay in a lake that was 56deg, all of the other lakes were around 44-46deg and that bay was stacked with slab crappies
