You're right guys, lots of nice fish caught. Jar Jar and my dad joined me yesterday and we hit the river for half a day. We definitely found some quality fish. Sure was chilly down there but we had a blast. It was good fishing and good company. Here's a few pictures to share with you. Jar Jar 27 1/2" My dad 28 1/2" Me 29 1/2"

Good for you guys who caught fish. We were out from 5:30 am until 12... and didn't get a walleye. We tried everything we could think of, but we just don't have the touch like you guys. We hardly saw any fish being caught...but we had some laughs anyways.
You guys mind if I ask how you were catching them?

The walleyes are in the river. It depends what you want. There's a better chance of catching a bunch of males the higher up you are but if it's bigger fish you want they are throughout the system right now but I would stick to the lower stretches for higher counts of the females/bigger fish. I might make it out tmrw and spend my b-day in the rain before going to work. Hopefully there won't be too much traffic out there and I can really work some water.

There are big and small fish all over the river. They have been coming down in waves. We caught nice fish both up high and down below boyscout. To windy below that to enjoy fishing so we stayed higher. I know the community holes by 61 will have fish on them if the wind ever stays down so a guy can fish that area decent without freezing. Yesterday was a good day with many large fish released. Biggest being a 28.5" and 29.25". Today was spotty at best. Hard to get to excited when its so cold and windy out. Doesnt look like it will get much better this week either. As far as depths it dont matter. We caught fish in 1' to 16' of water. As usuall the bigger females seem to be kicking back in the slower shallow stuff where its a bit warmer. Water temps are still cold and the bite shows it. 50 degrees today was the most we found and this morning it was 48.7. Burr. Once we hit 53 I think the fish will start snapping pretty good. Patience and being slow is key. Every color I treid caught fish so that isnt a factor. Good luck, dress warm and stay dry.
