You picked a tricky lake Otter. I only had 1 16inch and lost one about 20inches.

WOW, I for one, will admit, I got schooled. We threw the whole box at em on Saturday, and much to our dismay, ended up registering the big goose egg. I did get phone calls of good fishing to our north and some good reports to my east, but for the most part, everyone I talked to had a tough weekend.

Brian, nice fish, good to hear you guys did good. How was the crowd?

Tough weekend for me too but it's a long season. It can only go up from here.

Nice fish everyone!

Crowd wasn't as bad as some years. About 50 boats on the water. Started to thin down about 12pm.

Got to the ramp at 6:30am only one baot ahead of us. When we left at 1:30pm we didn't have to wait either.

I got 10th place in the SW MN Fishing club contest with the 19 incher I got.

Brian, you will have to listen to the new podcast I gave you kudos for your big fish on it!!!!! Great job, the only thing I caught was the chocolate chip granola bar that fell out of my pocket! Oh well.

walleyeaddict, you found the honey hole!

Saturday 12am - 4:30am: Caught two ~15-inchers pitching twisters. Trolled raps for 75% of that time with no hits.

Sunday 11am - 7pm: Trolling raps... 3 guys with 3 limits, all 14 to 16 except one 17.75-incher, fishing the same place.

Don't know why they don't bite better at night.

Well after my outing with Muc on Saturday. I've decided that he was bad luck. We ended up with 10 yesterday afternoon all around 16-17". Speed was definitely the key to catching fish.
