Had one group go out for a couple of hours and came back with limits. Had to break ice to get to his spot.

No luck for me. My neighbor pulled one in from shore this morning. I trolled around in Daisey bay jigging with a rainbow. Maybe I stayed to shallow. Shamrock, no need to give me the spot, but any specifics on depth and presentation that has been working for them? I may try a slip bobber by shore at dusk.

My clients and I did ok today. The bite was slow and light but fairly steady. We boated 41 and kept 16. all keepers were males, 13" to 16-1/2 inches. Only two slot fish caught. a 17-1/2 and an 18-1/2 . We used mostly Lindy Rigs and rainbows in 19' to 33 ' of water. Cliff

The action was fast on the east end. Lot's of walleye but the majority were very small. Had my best luck on Saturday and Sunday AM. Saturday evening was slow, i guess the Walleye don't care for rain and snow either.
Still looking for a good place to buy bait. I bought some Rainbows in Tower and they were a combination of mini's or monsters, very few good Walleye size. Also, several stickle back mixed in, needless to say when you come across these kill them ASAP.

I actually did alright for what i expected too with pike bay being closed. We boated 15 walleyes and 1 perch in my boat with 7 of the walleyes being in the slot and 8 just under 17 so they were all really nice fish. biggest was a 26" that probably weighed between 7 and 8 pounds and also had a 21 and 19 incher along with several going right around 18. All caught on slip bobbers and chubs or pike suckers in 6-7 feet of water. Didnt see many boats out fishing deep water this weekend either. Pike bay should be hot next weekend.

The slot must be working. We never caught a fish small enough to keep. Fished in 22 to 34 f.o.w. with rapalas trolling at 2.8 mph. The smallest walleye was 17.5 inches and the biggest was just over 22 inches. Here is my wife with our first walleye of the year, we were not on the water 10 minutes before she caught this one. (noticed no other boats around) Some ice still And the fishing guide

Our smallest was 18", only 5 in the boat for the weekend. This was my biggest.
