Maybe once the water warms up and goes down. I not a big fan of swimming in cold fast water. Kyle and I figured the front of my boat is shaped the way it is to facilitate jumping things.

Jumped enough logs on saturday to last me a while. Game warden was a little suprised at how far up the cannon river you can go with a boat.

Yea its time..... Bagged some nice ones on Fri. 2 over 9lbs another 6 in the 3-6lb range. Lost a few nice ones. Took awhile to get out of sturgeon mode.
Get out of the main current, or find a really good break, and you will find the hungry ones.

Caught a 7 lb channel and a 8.5 lb flat last sunday on cut sucker minnows, was only fishing for like an hour and a half too. I'm trying again tomorrow, seems like its good conditions for the big flats to start hammering, anybody else doing good with the cats?

I have gotten a few nice cats this year already, I caught my first flat this last week, and a nice one at that. I am having my best start to a year I have ever had. I have caught 3 quality flats this weekend also. They are feeding. The ones I caught have all been caught before 10pm.

I had a good weekend also Friday night before 10 had three runs with the largest fish being the first but my knot broke, 2nd fish of the night was a 25 x 14 flat I figured to be roughly 10 lbs and I flat out missed the third run of the night. Sat around 9 pm finally got a run and she was a big flat fought the fish which is fun with the current the fish feel like a ton of bricks right now. Got her to shore didn't horse her up on the 2 inces of muddy bank I had to use and I don't have a net and she also broke off cry Then Sunday morning I went out around 7 am and caught another 25 x 14 I was fishing in the same area could've been the same fish. I need the try some new knots wink The action has been early in the evening for me also.

Try a different spot! Come back to it a few days later, try it again.

The fish might be there but if you're not in the exact right area of that spot you might not get anything.
