I think the interpretation of "organic" in quetico is no minnows, live or dead, no crawlers, no leeches, no frozen smelt or ciscoes, no preserved minnows etc. Makes enforcement easier.

You don't need bait to catch fish in Quetico anyway.

Check out my thoughts on the subject in the Pike forum. I think we are making many laws to make enforcement easier and what we should be doing is fighting for the lakes and watersheds through regulation of big business, and development.

It makes no sense to worry about a minnow bucket full of water if a bilge of an orr carrier can dump a million times that amount.

We can push ramp rules all we want, but it will all be for not if lakes are not buffered and acid, mercury, and hormones are allowed to rain down unregulated. And what ever you do don't get me started on urban sprawl and human overpopulation because I always suggest things that offend almost everyone. Like making public buffers around cities through imanent domain and grandfather clauses, making all land fills into WMAs, Cluster housing, tax breaks not to have kids, and such-not final solution type stuff to be clear.

An interesting turn in the seemingly never ending quest to eliminate exotics from entering our waters.

What could an administration possibly have against preventing this stuff from getting into our lakes?

The President seems willing to put the Big Money of Big Business, at almost any cost, ahead of the health of the Citizens and healthy Natural Resources...which he swore to protect...

Spend unlimited amounts to protect against a vague biological threat, half way around the world, and let biological destruction, march right in the front door...
