Oops ... would it be OK to provide a link to the pictures instead of a link to the thread on a web-site forum?

By the way ... that's a 10" Jake in the footage. Underwater trolling video by a friend of mine.

I will be rigging my boat over the next couple of weeks so I will be able to video troll effectively. I learned so much doing this last fall with Don Schwartz fishing from his boat. Careful planning will be the key to making this newest form of fishing enjoyable and successful.

I look forward to posting the results of this summers work for everyone to enjoy. I am also anxious to see how many others are going to attempt this and how many may succeed.

If I can help anyone with any questions they may have, feel free to drop me a line.

Todd Williamson

Hi Todd -
I got a clamp on downrigger set-up as a gift and it appears to be in good working shape. I'm planning on giving it a try so I'll contact you for sure. I saw the article on Don and understande the concept but I'm trying to picture the best way to attach the camera the downrigger cable.
thanks - erik

You will need to order the camrigger kit right from Naturvisions. They are less than 25.00 and have everything you need to attach it properly.

I was told that Thorne Bros. had some kits, but when I called they were out. I think the popularity of this might be underestimated. I hope there won't be a problem getting Trainwrecks.

Looking forwards to capturing some "moments" with you this summer Todd ... let us know when and where the trainwrecks are available! Should it be mentioned here that all newcomers need to watch out for cribs? I'm sure we'll get that big girl to eat in the upcoming months (I'm thinking team golden horseshoe ... LOL)
