While we are asking questions about baits, what exactly are blade baits. Are they just the jig heads with blades on them, or are they something different? Also, what is the best way to fish ringworms? Do you jig them vertical, or pitch out and jig back? They seem to be the prefered bait for catching the big girls. I have fished the river several times, but was only taught to fish with vertical jig and minnow and thus I have not landed a true pig. Would love to try some nem tatics in the pursuit of a fish of a life time. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Wow, nice catch & thank you for the excellent release. That wasn't near the nuclear power plant, was it? j/k. I gotta get a camera, maybe it will bring me luck.
