Yep--saw a couple kids by the local lake pulling out a little stringer of 6 or 7. Good to see some kids that can get out, do a little fishing without any parental assistance/interference.

Got out today and boated around 30 or so. Kept my limit of 10 to 13 inchers. Fishing with a 1/32 jighead and a mud puppy.

Saw some really nice crappies today...bucked up males with dark black heads. They were up in the shallows. Water temps keep rising. Won't be much longer...

Took a bit of searching, but finally I am able to find crappies on my metro waters. Found some gills too, pretty spread out. Fish were shallow up against the shoreline.

Went out last night and found the crappies in a shallow bay that was only 2-3.5ft deep. The water temp was 5 degrees warmer in the bay. The numbers were good, but most were only 8-9 inches.
