I saw two dead roosters along 35 south of Moose Lake today - one on each side of the freeway.

Global warming or is there a game farm up that way?

I've seen dead hens up there several times, and I have seen lots of roosters along 35 between Sandstone and Moose Lake as I drive to Ely. Dunno if they're farm birds or not

I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few up that way. Carlos Avery is about an hour north of the cities and there are quite a few roosters up there. Moose Lake is only another 45 minutes or so.

Shhhh. Don't give away my pheasant spots.

Actually, there are always dead chukar and pheasants on I35 north of Pine City. Escapees from the preserve nearby.

Moose Lake? - suspect released birds, but who knows with the weather the past 5 years.

Yeah Carlos is tops 25 minutes from downtown St. Paul. Less than 30 miles I believe. Like Brittman said, milder winters with less snow mean a lot more birds moving around
