I'll be heading to Lake Gogebic for the opener with my dad. Haven't missed one in 15 years and I don't plan on starting now.......How bout everyone else?

Nate,

With 25 inches of ice left I might still be in Bergland Bay with Tip-Up's. Seriously there is a TON of ice left. I will be at Lake Gogebic for opener, then the next weekend I will be at Bay De Noc, cant wait...

I would say with the warm weater that they have this week you souldnt need them just a good pair of rubber boots. The fields are open and some of the edges but there is snow still in the pine and ceder thickets.Ive hunted up towards perronville, whitniy in the spring always seems to have active birds.

Thanks Twitch, sounds like Escanaba didn't get a whole lot of snow. We're heading over on Sunday to scout one last time and then its on!
