I have a male Dobe that has outstanding papers and is capable of producing blues. Does any one know where I can look to put him up for studding? He has chapmion show and hunting dogs on his side.

Thanks

Sorry , I can't help you with listing him as a stud. You have peaked my curiosity though. What type of hunting titles do these dobermans have?

Well all I know for sure is his papers go over to Germany. From there I know his grandfauthers have champion hunting and show dogs on their end. As for what hunting, I dont know. All them papers are kinda confusing with all the pedigree and breeders info.... I do know he has great ball drive and mine loves to retreive and hunt. I have him doing searching for drugs, people tracking and what ever else we decide to work him on. Dobes are an over looked breed. No one thinks of them for hunting but they have awesome noses and them long legs for running all day. Only down fall I have with mine so far us water.. I did not introduce him early enough so he is still a bit shy of water. He cant swim very well... looks pretty funny watching him try though.. lol.

I agree they are a very versatile breed. I knew people who hunted deer with them in areas where that is legal in the U.S and Canada. I wonder if thats what they are used for in Germany or maybe boar? They can be incredible trackers, in fact they are in the guiness book of world records for it, and a doberman running full speed is an awesome sight.
