I am considering being a counselor at a camp on Lake Winnipesaukee this summer and I am wonder what type of fishing there is in the area. I would guess that there are some good trout streams in the area and I have heard there is some decent bass fishing on lake winni. are there any walleye or musky lakes near the area?

Thanks for any info.

-Alex

I was raised in NH and we would fish winni alot. There are many different species at different times of the year. spring is land locked salmon time. Very finicky but a good fight and great eating! You will also get big lake trout not great lakes big but big. There is a very healthy small mouth population that is active all year. Most of my days on winni were good ones from spring through fall. The only place to get walleyes that I know of is the Conneticut River. No muskies that I know of. There is plenty of good trout streams but many more lakes that hold lots of rainbows and browns. Hope that helps e-mail me if you want more details.
