Wondering what everyone's view of Team Astana being left out of the Tour de France this year. It has not been determined yet, but there is talk of it. I think it would be a travesty to not allow Astana to race as the list of greats on the team is very distinguished. I think this is terrible to disallow an entire team for the actions of former team members. If this were the case in other sports, there would only be about 15 teams left in any of the major sports leagues. I totally agree with the rules that cylcing has in which individuals who are caught doping are banned for two years, but in this case it is more than I care to see.

Prudhome is probably grand standing a bit and hoping that if he eliminates all the teams with the best riders a French team might actually place well.
