I have a flyfishing trip planned to the North park area for the week after the 4th of July. Is this a good time to go? My buddy who lives there (just moved there not long ago) has a tight schedule and this worked bset for him....any info is appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

Everywhere in Colorado/Wyoming is the same as it is here in MN over the 4th of July. It's busier than usual, but you'll still find water to fish. Regardsless of the time of year, you will have a great time out there.

4th of July in the North Park area will definitely be crowded, but there is some outstanding fishing to be had up there. The North and South Delaney Buttes Lakes, and Parvin Lake are three phenomenal trout waters. I've seen brown trout up to 10 pounds taken out of Parvin! You're gonna have a blast up there, some of the best trout waters in the state!

No problem. All of the lakes are very accessible from shore. People have good luck using fly fishing, as well as spin fishing.
