Team Otter,
Am in the metro area, I wouldn't mind driving out hour to hour an a half out. Man...them walleye are hard to caught. Well, after all this is my first year on ice ever. But it's been great am loving every moment of it. It seem like I can't get enought of it. Well, thanks for your help Team Otter.

Andy, you must have had a bad hit last fall. At least you got the rack.

This is a tough time of the year to catch 'eyes through the ice but it can be done. Keep your presentation simple and be quiet on the ice. Often times, the little things this time of year really shine. As for what lakes to try, boy, the list is endless. If you're willing to drive an hour, I would try Madison, Jefferson or Frances. But, you have some darn good opportunities right out your back door in Minnetonka, Harriet and Calhoun, just to name a few.
Good luck!
p.s. Andy, cool "find" on the deer. Thanks for sharing.

Bucholz, check out the St. Cloud forum. There are usually a lot of guys keeping that up to date.
I finally got a eye tonight. I'll post the pic tomorrow.

i live in st paul and have always heard harriet was a good walleye lake. good is relavent though! ive only fished it a couple of times and scuba dove there a couple times. there used to be a guy at work that fished it in the summer for walleye and did pretty well. that was a while ago. i have no idea what kind of cycle that lake is on or where to fish. it sure would be nice to find a place close by, but then everyone would be there...
regards, minnesotatuff
