Pleasant, from what I heard, was alright. I saw a few fish caught on casting crankbaits on the shallow bars on the NW end near the access. I, however, didn't do the greatest. I fished pretty much the whole lake Sat morning, anywhere from 8-25 feet

I think that it would be hard to go wrong with any lake you choose as long as it has a decent population of bass in it. Many of the metro lake will be in full spawn when bass opener happens.

Some GPSs seem to cut off at 1.0 mph. my old magellan did that. My 332 doesn't. I don't think my go2 does either. I always thought it was a software thing to keep the speed from jumping around while you are standing still.

crappie fishing seems to be holding pretty good with lots of different age class's to be had. Walleyes are done spawning and moving back out into the chain from the creeks and streams.Bass fishing remains good as well as norther.

The best way Leech is getting rod sleeves that cover up the rods and prevent tangles. They are awesome! Cabelas' makes a good set, but most outdoor stores have them.
